A considered travel edit

Pack a familiar beauty routine with fewer duplicates, a clear layout and room to close the case comfortably.

Packing beauty essentials is easier when you start with the days you will have, rather than every possibility in the cupboard. Think about the routine you want to keep, the space available where you are staying and how often you will move between places. An edit can still include a favourite extra. What matters is that each item earns its place and can be found when you need it.

Choose the routine before the case

Write down what you use in a typical morning and evening. Mark the items that do the same job, then decide whether both are useful for this particular trip. A second lip colour may be a deliberate choice; three similar brushes may simply be habit. Check what will already be available at your destination before relying on it. Keep your list for the return journey so the small pieces are easier to account for.

Lay everything out once

Group bottles, compacts and tools on a clear surface before packing. Check caps and closures, and remove any product residue from the outside according to the item’s own instructions. If you use a smaller container, do so only where the original product instructions allow it and keep it clearly identified. Separate items that need extra protection from the everyday tools. A closed beauty case does not guarantee that a bottle will not leak.

Pack for access, then test the closure

Place the items you will use together where they are easy to reach together. Give tall bottles and delicate pieces enough room, and avoid pushing hard edges against one another. Keep tools away from exposed product surfaces. Before putting the case into luggage, check that everything is secure and the lid closes without pressure. If closing it requires squeezing or rearranging several times, remove something or choose a different layout.

The final packing check

  • Your familiar morning and evening essentials are included.
  • Every extra has a reason to come with you.
  • Caps are closed and containers are clearly identified.
  • Tools and delicate pieces have suitable separation.
  • The lid and zip close without being forced.
  • Your return list includes the small, easy-to-miss items.

Know what the case can tell you

The CHICCASEN Vanity Case has a removable organiser with fixed dividers. You can lift the organiser out when you arrive, or keep it inside. Choose the arrangement that suits the items you actually carry. External dimensions are 21 × 12 × 15 cm / 8.3 × 4.7 × 5.9 in (L × W × H), with height excluding the handle; these measurements are not the size of the individual compartments. They cannot establish whether a particular bottle will fit.

Make unpacking part of the edit

On arrival, choose a stable place for the items you use each day. Before leaving, use your list to check the shelf, sink area and any drawer you used. Once home, unpack rather than leaving the case ready indefinitely. Return products to their usual storage, follow their care instructions and note anything you carried but never needed. That note is the beginning of the next edit.
