At Chiccasen, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. This Return & Refund Policy explains how change-of-mind returns, damaged or defective items, and refunds are handled for orders placed through our website.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns
In addition to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, we offer a 30-day return window for eligible change-of-mind returns.
To qualify under our 30-day commercial return policy, your return request must be made within 30 days from the date your order is delivered.
2. Statutory Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory legal rights under the laws applicable in your country of residence. Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where applicable, consumer protection or distance-selling laws may give you a statutory right to cancel your order within a legal cooling-off period. If you are exercising such a statutory right, we will handle your return and refund in accordance with applicable law.
3. Return Conditions for Change-of-Mind Returns
For change-of-mind returns under our 30-day commercial return policy, returned items should:
- be unused and in resalable condition;
- include the original packaging and any included accessories or protective materials where reasonably possible; and
- not show signs of damage caused after delivery.
We may reduce or refuse a refund for change-of-mind returns if the item is returned in a condition that is inconsistent with reasonable inspection or resale, except where your statutory rights require otherwise.
4. Non-Returnable Items
Unless faulty, damaged, not as described, or otherwise required by law, the following items are generally non-returnable:
- gift cards;
- final-sale or clearance items clearly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase; and
- any item returned incomplete or materially damaged due to customer handling after delivery.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, so that we can investigate and assist you promptly.
To help us review your claim quickly, please email us with:
- your order number;
- a brief description of the issue; and
- clear photos and/or videos of the item and, where relevant, the outer packaging.
We will assess the issue and, depending on the circumstances and your applicable legal rights, may offer a replacement, repair, price adjustment, store credit, or refund.
6. How to Start a Return
To request a return, please contact us first at customercare@chiccasen.com.
Please do not return items without contacting us in advance, as return instructions may vary depending on the item and destination.
In your email, please include:
- your order number;
- the item(s) you would like to return;
- the reason for the return; and
- photos, if the return relates to damage, defects, or an incorrect item.
7. Return Shipping and Packaging
For eligible change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise required by applicable law.
For approved returns relating to damaged, defective, or incorrect items, we will determine the appropriate return arrangement on a case-by-case basis.
Returned items should be packaged carefully and securely to avoid damage in transit. We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping method and retaining proof of postage.
We are not responsible for items lost or additionally damaged during return transit if they were not packaged and shipped with reasonable care.
8. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, refunds are normally issued to the original payment method.
For returns processed under our commercial return policy, refunds are typically completed within 5–10 business days after approval, although the exact timing may depend on your payment provider.
If you are exercising a statutory cancellation or other mandatory consumer right, we will process refunds within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Original Shipping Charges
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for change-of-mind returns unless otherwise required by applicable law.
If a refund is approved because the item was defective, damaged on arrival, or incorrect, we will determine the appropriate refund amount in line with the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
10. Exchanges
We do not guarantee direct exchanges. If you would like a replacement product, please contact us first and we will advise whether a replacement, refund, or new order is the most suitable option.
11. Cancellations Before Dispatch
If you need to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible at customercare@chiccasen.com.
If the order has not yet been processed for shipment, we will do our best to cancel it. If the order has already been dispatched, the return process described in this Policy will apply.
