Before the day begins
Every morning, before I open the door to a busy world, I treasure those ten or fifteen minutes at my dressing table.
My work means setting out on time each morning. I try to meet the day, and the people who count on me, with patience and a sense of order. The faster those days move, the more I value the quiet before I step outside.
Yet mornings can be hurried. A familiar lipstick I cannot find when I am already running late. A necklace I want to wear, tangled with the others. Small frustrations, but enough to unsettle the calm of a whole morning.
Over time, I began to see that putting things in order could also be a gentle way of finding my own calm.
A little order around me.
A little more calm within.
A simple beginning
It began with
our first case.
I wanted the make-up, jewellery and everyday care essentials I reached for to have a home that felt just right.
That simple wish led me to develop and refine our first vanity case. It was the beginning of CHICCASEN.
The way we make things
Fewer things.
More thought.
In every piece we make, we hold to a simple idea: fewer, better things. We give our attention to the materials and proportions that shape the feeling of everyday life.
I prefer restraint. Something we hold in our hands every day needs no elaborate decoration. There is enough to notice in the material itself.
The fine grain and structure of microfibre faux leather on the outside. The feel of the lining beneath the things it holds. The smooth, measured movement of a zip. I choose with those small, repeated moments of daily use in mind.

As we worked through samples, I kept looking at the places that are easy to overlook: a bound corner visible only when the lining is turned back, or a seam tucked away inside.
I wanted each one to sit flat, to be cleanly finished, to be beautiful in its own quiet way.
For me, that care matters in the private moment of opening the case on your own. I want it to be there in everything your eyes and fingertips find.

As the things in front of me settle into their places, I find my mind settling, too.
That is what I hope CHICCASEN can bring to your life. A quiet presence, never demanding attention, simply holding the things you need.
